It is located in the northwest corner of the country about one hour south of the Mighty Victoria Falls. Hwange boasts a tremendous selection of wildlife with over 100 species of mammals and nearly 400 bird species recorded as well as all Zimbabwe’s specially protected animals are to be found in Hwange and it is the only protected area where gemsbok and brown hyena occur in reasonable numbers. The elephants of Hwange are world famous and is one of the largest populations in the world.

Day 1
Livingstone - Victoria Falls - Hwange - 2 Game Drives Lunch Dinner
Departure and pick up at your hotel is before dawn, around 5:00 am from Livingstone (Victoria Falls departures on request), and travel into Hwange National Park as the bush awakens. On arrival, you'll enjoy a light continental breakfast with coffee and tea before setting off on a 4-hour morning game drive in an open 4×4 safari vehicle, tracking elephant herds, predators, and plains game. Lunch is served either at a lodge or as a relaxed bush meal. In the afternoon, you'll continue with another 4-hour game drive, returning to camp around 5:30 pm. You'll settle into comfortable mid-range canvas tents with shared ablution facilities, enjoy dinner at camp, and relax around the bonfire as night sounds fill the African bush. All meals, water, coffee, and tea are included at breakfast. Alcoholic beverages are excluded but can be purchased at camp.
Day 2
Breakfast in Camp - Game Drive - Lunch - Game Drive - Transfer
You'll wake around sunrise and enjoy breakfast at camp as Africa slowly awakens, with coffee and tea served while the first sounds of the bush drift through the trees. After breakfast, set out on a 4-hour morning game drive in an open 4×4 safari vehicle, exploring Hwange National Park. Routes and sightings are guided by fresh tracks and animal movement, allowing your guide to adapt the drive for the best wildlife encounters.
Lunch is enjoyed back at camp or as a relaxed bush meal, depending on the day’s conditions. In the afternoon, continue with another 4-hour safari game drive, when predators and plains game become active in the cooler light. You'll return to Livingstone around 5:00 pm, arriving back in town at approximately 8:00 pm. All meals, water, coffee, and tea are included. Alcoholic beverages are excluded but can be purchased at camp. You'll be dropped off at your Livingstone or Victoria Falls Hotel.
