BOTSWANA– Chobe Camping
The Chobe River is a tributary of the Zambezi River, the confluence of which is just above the Vic Falls. Close proximity, however, does not result in ‘sameness.’ Indeed, the Chobe reveals a bird and animal sanctuary of such abundance that seeing is, believing.
Here you’ll encounter many hundreds of bird species. It’s a natural stopover point during spring and autumn migrations, an unbelievable sight. Vast animal herds, such as elephant (it’s not uncommon to see 500 to 1000 elephant on the floodplains at a time), buffalo and buck, make for incomparable game viewing. Life on the river and in the adjoining game reserve will capture your imagination
