Service Description

Your day starts with Savannah Adventures at 4:45 AM with hotel pick-up in Victoria Falls. After a short transfer to the Botswana border, your guide assists with immigration formalities before you board an open-sided 4x4 safari vehicle. Unlike regular day trips that arrive later and leave earlier, the Savannah Adventures Extended Chobe Safari is designed to maximize your time in Chobe National Park. You'll be among the first vehicles entering the park at dawn, when lions, leopards, hyenas, and other predators are most active and the bush comes alive with movement. Operating in small groups only, Savannah Adventures offers a more personal safari experience, with fewer guests per vehicle, better wildlife viewing opportunities, and more flexibility than larger tour operators. Around 9:00 AM, enjoy coffee and muffins in the bush before continuing your game drive deeper into Chobe's wildlife-rich riverfront areas. At approximately 12:00 PM, a buffet lunch is served at a lodge overlooking the Chobe River. After a short break, your afternoon continues with a 2:30 PM river safari, providing exceptional opportunities to photograph elephants swimming, hippos, crocodiles, and large herds gathering along the water's edge. While most day-trippers have already started their journey back to Victoria Falls, your Savannah Adventures safari continues. Enjoy the golden afternoon light, excellent wildlife activity, and some of the best photography conditions of the day. As the sun sets over Chobe, you'll still be in the park, maximizing every possible wildlife viewing opportunity before returning to the border. After sunset, you transfer back to Victoria Falls, arriving at approximately 8:00 PM after one of the longest, most immersive, and wildlife-focused safari experiences available from Victoria Falls.
